Harley Robbins Arrested for Felony Dealing and Possession of a Narcotic Drug

On Thursday October 17, 2019, the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested Harley D. Robbins, age 27, of Bourbon, Indiana, for Dealing in a Narcotic Drug, a Level 4 Felony, and Possession of a Narcotic Drug, a Level 6 Felony. A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges being filed. The investigation is still pending and active at this time.

Traffic Stop Leads to Cocaine Arrest

On Friday, October 18th, 2019 at 8:55 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a
traffic stop on a gray 2019 Jeep in the area of US 31 a few miles south of US 6. During
the investigation, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside
the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the findings of
marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, cocaine and ecstasy pills. The driver of the
vehicle, Sharlene Silvas of California, was taken to the jail for possession of cocaine
or narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.

Smith Arrested for OWI

On October 20, 2019 at approximately 3:00 a.m., Marshall Co. Police were responding to a
report of vehicle traveling all over the roadway in the area of State Road 17 and 12th
Road. Officer Bennett located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the
vehicle in the area of State Road 17 and 10B Road. The driver was identified as 21 year
old Blake Smith of Plymouth, IN. Blake was found to be under the influence of alcohol and
was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a certified test, which later showed Blake to be
almost three times the legal limit of alcohol. Blake was lodged into the county jail for
Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle With
An ACE of .15 Or More.

Traffic Stop Yields Another Methamphetamine Arrest

On Friday, October 11th, 2019 at 9:52 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a
traffic stop on a maroon 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of Michigan Road and 4A
Road in Plymouth. During the investigation, the officer located 12.2 grams of
methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe inside the vehicle. The driver, David R. Palm
of Knox was taken to the Marshall County Jail for a Level 4 felony possession of
methamphetamine.

Torrans Arrested for Methamphetamine

On October 11, 2019 at 3:52 AM officers from the Marshall County Police Department
performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation and erratic driving.
During the traffic stop Marshall K9 Irok was deployed around the vehicle and gave a
positive alert. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of
suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, a substance classified as a legend drug, and drug
paraphernalia. Cory Torrans was also found to be wanted out of Michigan on
a felony warrant, and had a suspended license. He was transported to the Marshall County
Jail where he was lodged for the following crimes.

Possession of Methamphetamine, a level 6 felony
Possession of a legend drug, a level 6 felony
Possession of Paraphernalia, a class A misdemeanor
False Informing, a class B misdemeanor
Possession of Marijuana, a class B misdemeanor.

UNIT Executes Search Warrant

On Wednesday October 9, 2019, Officers with the Undercover Narcotics Investigation Team,
who were assisted by the Indiana State Police ERT Team, the Indiana State Police and
Marshall County Police, executed a search warrant in the 19000 block of 6th Road in
Plymouth. During the search, Officers located suspected methamphetamine and marijuana in
and around the residence. Officers also recovered stolen vehicles at the residence. Scott
Hahn, Brandon Hahn and Heidi Cooper were arrested and subsequently lodged at the Marshall
County Jail.
Scott Hahn – Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon- Level 4 Felony,
Possession of Methamphetamine-enhancement Level 5 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance
Level 6 felony, $10,000 cash bond.

Brandon Hahn- Possession of Methamphetamine-enhancement Level 5 Felony, Maintaining a
Common Nuisance Level 6 felony, Possession of Marijuana $5,000 cash bond.

Heidi Cooper- Possession of Methamphetamine Level 6 Felony, Maintaining a Common Nuisance
Level 6 felony, Possession of Marijuana $1500 cash bond.

Ziolkowski Arrested for OWI

On October 5, 2019 at approximately 12:10 a.m., Marshall Co. Police responded to a report
of a white box truck traveling all over the roadway in the northbound lanes of US 31 in
the area of 9A Road. Officer Bennett located the vehicle on US 31 near Veteran`s Parkway
and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as 30 year old Jon A. Ziolkowski
of South Bend, IN. Drugs including marijuana, and an unknown substance, along with drug
paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. Jon was found to be under the influence of
drugs and was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a certified test. Following the certified
chemical test, Jon was lodged into the county jail for Operating a Vehicle While
Intoxicated Endangering a Person, Possession of Marijuana, and Operating a Vehicle
Without Ever Receiving a License.

Hochstetler Arrested for P.I. and Disorderly Conduct

On September 30th, 2019 around 10:47pm Marshall County Police received a call of an
unknown male subject pounding on the door of a residence. When officers with Marshall
County Sheriffs Department and Bremen Police Department responded to the address they
located Tyler Hochstetler of Elkhart, IN. Tyler was found to be twice the legal limit and
was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked and lodged for Disorderly
Conduct and Public Intoxication. Tyler was given a court date and a bond of $500.00

Noe Arrested for OWI

On September 27th, 2019 around 11:54pm Marshall County dispatch received a call regarding
a possible impaired or unsafe driver all over the roadway on U.S. 30. The vehicle was
followed by the complainant onto U.S. 31 northbound from U.S. 30. Officer Ayala with the
Marshall County Sheriffs Department located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.
Officer Ayala then offered the driver who was identified as Brandon Noe of Bremen, IN,
the opportunity to do standardized field sobriety testing. The driver was then
transported to Plymouth hospital for a chemical test where he was found to be almost four
times the legal limit. Brandon was later transported to the Marshall County Jail where he
was booked and lodged for Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated .15% or higher and
OWI-Endangerment. Brandon was given bond of $1500.00 and a court date.
