Blacklaw Arrested For Resisting, Escape, and Battery on Law Enforcement After Causing A Disturbance

Date/Time: August 10th, 2023 at approximately 7:18 P.M.
Suspect Name/Age: Heather M. Blacklaw Age 30 of Argos
Narrative: On Thursday August 10th, 2023 at approximately 7:18 P.M. officers from the Marshall County Police Department and Argos Police responded to 14000 block of 20A road, near Argos. The original call was for a battery that had taken place at an address in this area. During the investigation it was found that 30 year old Heather M. Blacklaw had allegedly battered residents at the address. When officers arrived on scene, they found Heather in a camper that she had been staying in on the property. They also found that the camper was now on fire. Heather was
removed from the camper, and detained at the scene. During the incident she resisted officers multiple times, and at one point fled from a patrol vehicle that she was being detained in. Officers were able to get her back in custody after a brief struggle. Fire and EMS crews responded to extinguish the fire. The camper is believed to be a total loss as a result of the fire. Heather was later transported Saint Joseph Medical Center in Plymouth for medical treatment. As a result of the investigation, she was then transported to the Marshall County Jail where she was lodged for the following charges.
