Traffic Stop Yields Another Methamphetamine Arrest

On Friday, October 11th, 2019 at 9:52 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a
traffic stop on a maroon 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of Michigan Road and 4A
Road in Plymouth. During the investigation, the officer located 12.2 grams of
methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe inside the vehicle. The driver, David R. Palm
of Knox was taken to the Marshall County Jail for a Level 4 felony possession of
methamphetamine.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable
cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only
probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent
throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to
a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable
doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
