On December 21, 2019 at approximately 1:30 AM, Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputy Bennett conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the area of US 30 and Hawthorn Road. The driver was identified as 34 year old Cheyne Stouder of Bourbon, Indiana. During the traffic stop suspected marijuana, illegal psilocybin mushrooms, controlled substances, and drug equipment were located in the vehicle and on Cheyne’s person. Cheyne was transported to the Marshall County Jail. While inside the jail, suspected LSD was located on Cheyne’s person during a strip search. Cheyne was booked for the following offenses. I. Dealing a Schedule 1, 2, or 3 Controlled Substance greater than 28 grams – Level 2 Felony II. Dealing in Marijuana Greater than 30 grams, but less than 10 pounds – Level 6 Felony III. Possession of a Controlled Substance – Class A Misdemeanor IV. Possession of Marijuana – Class B Misdemeanor

On 12-20-2019, officers working patrol in the area of US 31 and 12th Road observed a vehicle traveling southbound exceeding the speed limit. Officer J. Gorny initiated a traffic stop in the area of US 31 south and 18th Road on a 2001 Ford Escort. During the investigation is was discovered the driver was in possession of Methamphetamine. The driver (Kozikowski, Stephan) was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of a Syringe. Stephan was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in on the above stated charges. Date / Time: Monday December 16th, 2019 @ 9:54 P.M. Crime: Theft / Reckless Driving Offender: Jeremiah D. Dockery age 19 South Bend, IN Narrative: At the above date and time Sgt. Nicholas Laffoon of Marshall County Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed, which was then clocked at 106 mph. After catching up to the vehicle a traffic stop was performed on U.S. 31 south of 12th Rd. During the traffic stop it was found that the offender, Jeremiah D. Dockery, had been operating the vehicle during this incident. Further investigation at the scene also determined that the vehicle was reported as stolen from St. Joseph County. The offender was detained at the scene and was later lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Theft and Reckless Driving. On Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at approximately 11:08 AM Marshall County Officers along with Argos PD Officers responded to 14725 Juniper Road for a domestic disturbance. After an investigation it was determined that Travis Whaley had battered his significant other in the presence of their child. Travis was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Domestic Battery in the presence of a minor, a level 6 felony. Travis was given a cash bond of $1,500.00. Marshall County Officers were assisted by Argos PD. On Friday, October 18th, 2019 at 8:55 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop on a gray 2019 Jeep in the area of US 31 a few miles south of US 6. During the investigation, the officer detected a strong odor of marijuana emitting from inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the findings of marijuana, marijuana paraphernalia, cocaine and ecstasy pills. The driver of the vehicle, Sharlene Silvas of California, was taken to the jail for possession of cocaine or narcotic drug and possession of marijuana.

On October 20, 2019 at approximately 3:00 a.m., Marshall Co. Police were responding to a report of vehicle traveling all over the roadway in the area of State Road 17 and 12th Road. Officer Bennett located the suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle in the area of State Road 17 and 10B Road. The driver was identified as 21 year old Blake Smith of Plymouth, IN. Blake was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a certified test, which later showed Blake to be almost three times the legal limit of alcohol. Blake was lodged into the county jail for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person and Operating a Vehicle With An ACE of .15 Or More. On Friday, October 11th, 2019 at 9:52 PM, Marshall County Officer Wozniak initiated a traffic stop on a maroon 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck in the area of Michigan Road and 4A Road in Plymouth. During the investigation, the officer located 12.2 grams of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine pipe inside the vehicle. The driver, David R. Palm of Knox was taken to the Marshall County Jail for a Level 4 felony possession of methamphetamine. On October 11, 2019 at 3:52 AM officers from the Marshall County Police Department performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation and erratic driving. During the traffic stop Marshall K9 Irok was deployed around the vehicle and gave a positive alert. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, a substance classified as a legend drug, and drug paraphernalia. Cory Torrans was also found to be wanted out of Michigan on a felony warrant, and had a suspended license. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for the following crimes.
