Dockery Arrested for Possession of Stolen Vehicle Posted on December 19, 2019 by Jail Records Date / Time: Monday December 16th, 2019 @ 9:54 P.M. Crime: Theft / Reckless Driving Offender: Jeremiah D. Dockery age 19 South Bend, IN Narrative: At the above date and time Sgt. Nicholas Laffoon of Marshall County Police Department observed a vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed, which was then clocked at 106 mph. After catching up to the vehicle a traffic stop was performed on U.S. 31 south of 12th Rd. During the traffic stop it was found that the offender, Jeremiah D. Dockery, had been operating the vehicle during this incident. Further investigation at the scene also determined that the vehicle was reported as stolen from St. Joseph County. The offender was detained at the scene and was later lodged at the Marshall County Jail for Theft and Reckless Driving. Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
