Kozikowski Arrested for Methamphetamine

On 12-20-2019, officers working patrol in the area of US 31 and 12th Road observed a
vehicle traveling southbound exceeding the speed limit. Officer J. Gorny initiated a
traffic stop in the area of US 31 south and 18th Road on a 2001 Ford Escort. During the
investigation is was discovered the driver was in possession of Methamphetamine. The
driver (Kozikowski, Stephan) was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine and Unlawful
Possession of a Syringe. Stephan was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he
was booked in on the above stated charges.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable
cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only
probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent
throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to
a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable
doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
